2020 was, well, 2020. Locked down, school closed and spending A LOT of family time together in our own home. It was wild, stressful, and exhausting as a parent! So when things started opening back up, I was on a mission to find a place for the kids to be kids, let loose, and have fun as a family! My first choice in top family trips is always GREAT WOLF LODGE.

Though there is a local GWL in Massachusetts, we wanted to take an extra special family trip a little further….to the Poconos Mountain in Pennsylvania! Let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint! The Great Wolf Lodge there was ENORMOUS and so filled with activities, it was endless fun!
As we drove up, all of our jaws dropped at the site of the huge log cabin that we were about to spend three days at. At every turn it was something more exciting for the kids to do. Between the arcade, glow in the dark black light mini golf, bowling, ice cream, to the gigantic indoor water park- it was a child’s dream come true!
We were welcomed into our amazing cabin-style suite by a box of cookies and personalized card, and at every turn someone was ready to lend a helping hand! The Wolf Passes are the best investment if you’re going! The Wolf Pass included all of this, and all you had to do was bring it with you to each stop and it was so convenient and much easier than paying for things separately (and save money!).

- One MagiQuest game.
- One Compass Quest game, classic wand, standard topper, or Magi belt.
- One Great Wolf Lodge Candy Shop candy cup.
- One Paw Points game card for Northern Lights Arcade ($5).
- One scoop of ice cream from Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Shop.
- One round at Howl In One mini golf.
- One game of bowling at our fun-sized Ten Paw Alley.
- One admission to Moonstone Mine at Oliver’s Mining Co.
- One Build-A-Bear animal (outfit not included).
- One leather wristband to take home
Our first day there we spent the afternoon touring the grounds, doing a little MagiQuest (which my older boys LOVED!), and of course did some major swimming! The slides were my favorite, there was even a water slide roller coaster! There were great options for slides for all ages- 4-5 small ones for toddlers, up to exhilarating and fast ones for my older son! It was a great variety and we enjoyed every single one! The big bowl one was SO fun! We even got a cabana space where we could lounge, have snacks and drinks delivered to us during our time at the pool- I highly suggest reserving one if you’ve got a large family or group so you can have a space all to yourself!

In the evenings we’d do some mini golf, bowling and arcade games- and each one of the kids got to do a Build A Bear ( included on the Wolf Pass!). Each minute of the three days we spent there was absolutely amazing. There was even the option for pizza delivered to our room, followed by late night ice cream cones!
Everywhere we turned here, there was something to do. Not only was the entertainment for the kids amazing, but the food was fantastic! Poolside snacks (and some pina coladas for Mommy) were fabulous!
I cannot say enough good things about Great Wolf Lodge Poconos. Their staff went above and beyond to be fabulous at every angle! We will definitely be going back and I urge you to check it out!
