Well, WE DID IT! For years Jeff and I have vacationed and frequented Moosehead Lake in Maine! We’d go snowmobiling, on side by side rides, and enjoying nature for years. Jeff has been going since he was about 17! We had always talked about getting our own place up there and avoiding the rental costs that we always incurred…..fortunately, the timing worked out as we were searching online for homes, a brand new log cabin popped up! It was meant to be!
Decorating the cabin was the best part! It wasn’t my normal farmhouse style white and gray everything, which was the most exciting part! It was a completely different style than I was used to and it was so fun to shop for dark woods and “cabin” style.
Obviously, we started, and finished, our furniture shopping all in one place! Raymour & Flanigan had exactly what we were looking for for each bedroom!
Can you get any more “cabin” style than brown leather couches?! These are my favorite pieces of furniture in the entire house! The soft leather makes these the most comfortable piece of furniture in our house as well- they fit perfectly well, and we’ve had countless renters compliment on them! They look clean and professional, but still super comfy! A must for any man cave or cabin style!
The kitchen is one of my favorite spots in the house. We found an old island to fit this space and it completed the woodsy look! The open concept of the cabin makes this three bedroom, two bathroom house look enormous!!
There are two bedrooms downstairs and upstairs is the master! We chose this stunning “woodsy” bedroom furniture for our King size bed! It looks like logs of wood and it so sturdy! This bed is HEAVY DUTY and we are obsessed! It’s called the Santa Cruz! The pictures don’t do this bedroom set justice….its a MUST! It’s also enormous!
Downstairs we’ve got two bedrooms, one beautiful queen bedroom with a view, and one children’s bunk room! Check out the “moose” room as we like to call it!
We fell in love with this bedroom set the minute we saw it! With the small details that made it look woodsy but also modern! It fit perfectly into our cabin, but could also fit into any home. It’s a gorgeous set!
This has been a dream come true for us and we can’t wait to see how many people will love and enjoy our home.
